WMB developed a unique liquefaction technology to fractionate forestry and agriculture biomass to biooil and cellulose. The biooil can replace petrol-based polyol for the production of bio-based polyurethane foams with 60% bio-contents. The foams have potential applications in house insulation, packaging, utilization boards.
WMB is developing bio-based hydrophilic open cell polyurethane foams as hydroponic growing medium for the soilless plantation.
